The author believes that My Story is a great source of inspiration and learning for readers and deserves to be very widely read. That is why, in order to help take its message out to as many readers as possible, she has written her book in an attempt to delve further into the principles, values and learnings featured in it. She has attempted to extract what she believes are the important lessons from My Story and share them in her book.
In her introduction, she writes that ‘in between the covers of the book My Story is an inexhaustible treasure of information, experience and judgement’.
This is her attempt to share the valuable information, inspiring stories, and precious life lessons with her readers. Shaima Al Marzooqi is an Emirati writer and publisher who has worked across a number of genres and has been the recipient of a number of awards including The Rashid Bin Humaid Award for Culture and Science (across multiple categories including Short Story, Novel and Emirati Novel) and the Dubai Wilds Award (affiliated to the Environment Department of Dubai Municipality). She has written and published extensively for children, young adults and adults.
